Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Trophy Club is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support routine patient care and assist across departments within the Baylor system in Trophy Club, TX.

The role requires a high school diploma and BLS/ACLS/PALS within 3 months of hire, plus at least 1 year of hospital, clinic, private physician’s office, or nursing home experience. A strong patient-service orientation is essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
• Licensure/Certification: BLS, ACLS, PALS certification (required within 3 months of hire)

Responsibilities

• PCT will report primarily to PSU, with cross-training across Baylor Scott & White Medical Center at Trophy Club.
• Assist in routine patient care: obtaining and documenting vital signs, collection of lab specimens, ambulating patients, responding to patient requests, passing dietary trays, and accompanying patients as needed.
• PCT will not perform duties requiring licensure beyond the scope of a patient care technician.
• Nonclinical duties include secretarial/administrative tasks at PSU nursing desk, answering phones/call lights, building charts for new admissions, and entering charges into EHR.
