Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Trophy Club is hiring a Full Time PAT/Patient Care Tech. The PCT will report to PAT and may be cross-trained in other perioperative areas within the Trophy Club center, performing clinical duties such as vital signs collection, patient assistance, and care documentation.

Educational requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent with BLS; prior hospital or clinic experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• BLS certification required.
• Prefer one (1) year minimum in hospital, high-volume clinic, private physician’s office or nursing home.

Responsibilities

• Assist in routine patient care, obtain and document vital signs, collect lab specimens, ambulate patients, respond to patient requests, pass dietary trays, and accompany patient as necessary.
• PCT duties include nonclinical tasks such as secretarial/administrative duties, answering phones, building charts, entering charges into EHR, and auditing medical records.
• PCT will not perform duties requiring licensure or certification beyond the scope of a patient care technician.
