Job summary

Riverton Surgery Center seeks a Patient Care Technician to join their care team. Under supervision, you will assist with routine patient care, prepare rooms, and guide patients and doctors to the appropriate areas, helping maintain a smooth workflow in a busy surgical setting.

The ideal candidate is a CNA or graduate of a patient care tech program, with BLS/CPR credentials and at least six months of related experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Patient care tech program preferred.
• CNA certification preferred.
• Six months of related patient-care experience.
• BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine patient care and set up post-op kits.
• Direct doctors and patients to appropriate rooms.
• Assist medical staff and maintain sterility of instruments.
• Keep front and back waiting areas organized and stocked.

JOB TITLE

Patient Care Technician

General Summary Of Duties

Under supervision, performs routine non-professional and professional care; unbagging and bagging equipment, make up post op kits, direct doctors and patients to the appropriate rooms, assist medical staff with patient care, perform visual fields, setup patients for required testing, keep instruments and equipment sterilized, maintain adequate supplies and keep front and back waiting rooms in order.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Patient care tech program preferred (CNA) and at least six months prior related experience in assisting with care of patients.
• Current American Heart Assn.
• BLS certificate Required.
