Job summary

Requires a high school diploma or MA program; BLS within 6 months for Rural Health; full-time schedule from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with six months experience as a Medical Assistant or a Patient Care Tech.
• Or completion of MA, EMT, Nurse Assistant, LPN, Armed Services Medic, or Patient Care Technician program.
• BLS certification within 6 months for Rural Health clinics.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care tasks to support provider and care team.
• Greet patients and direct them to appropriate areas.
• Verifies insurance and collects co-pays/deductibles.
• Documents interventions, vitals, and treatments in the chart/electronic system.
• Assists with exams, injections, venipuncture, and immunizations as directed.
• Prepares rooms and equipment for visits; maintains infection control standards.
• Schedules appointments and coordinates referrals and tests.
• Maintains confidentiality and handles patient information securely.
