This role goes beyond the front counter: you will work closely with our pharmacists, clinical staff, and external partners to keep patient care moving smoothly and to help our team meet compliance and quality

Qualifications

• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (or another language) required.
• Strong customer service with a patient-first attitude.
• Experience in pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, or healthcare administrative work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for patients, caregivers, prescribers, and insurers in English and another language.
• Handle calls for prior authorizations, refills, and status updates.
• Process and verify patient information and prescription orders with accuracy.
• Manage POS transactions and reconcile daily reports.
• Coordinate specialty medication deliveries and handling documentation.
• Liaise with insurers, case managers, and hubs to resolve coverage issues.
• Identify workflow issues and escalate when needed.
• Support administrative tasks and ensure compliance with specialty standards.
• Represent the pharmacy's values in every interaction.

About the Role

We're looking for a bilingual Pharmacy Clerk who is organized, patient-focused, and eager to be part of a clinical environment where every interaction matters. This is more than a front-counter role. You'll work closely with our pharmacists, clinical staff, and external partners to keep patient care moving smoothly - and you'll have real opportunity to grow within the pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for patients, caregivers, prescribers, and insurance representatives - in both English and a second language
• Handle incoming and outbound calls with professionalism, including prior authorization follow-ups, refill coordination, and patient status updates
• Process and verify patient information, specialty medications, and prescription orders with a high degree of accuracy
• Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions and reconcile beginning and end-of-day reports
• Coordinate specialty medication deliveries and ensure proper handling documentation
• Liaise with insurance companies, case managers, and specialty hubs to resolve coverage and benefits issues
• Identify workflow issues and elevate or resolve them proactively
• Support the pharmacy team with administrative tasks and maintain compliance with specialty pharmacy standards
• Represent New Lots Pharmacy's values in every patient and partner interaction

Qualifications

• Bilingual - fluency in English and Spanish (or another language) required

Required Skills

• Strong customer service skills with a compassionate, patient-first attitude
• Prior pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, or healthcare administrative experience preferred
• Comfortable managing high call volume and multiple priorities without losing attention to detail
• Familiarity with pharmacy software and insurance/prior authorization processes is a plus
