Qualifications

• Previous pharmacy experience required.
• Experience in pharmacy, medical office, or healthcare setting preferred.
• Spanish speaker a must!
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong telephone etiquette and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Make and receive phone calls from pharmacies regarding prescription inquiries.
• Assist with prescription refill requests and communicate to the provider or clinic staff.
• Follow up with pharmacies regarding prescription status, medication availability, and delays.
• Communicate with physicians offices and pharmacy staff to resolve routine administrative issues.
• Document all calls, messages, and follow-up activities accurately.
• Maintain organized records and protect confidential patient information per HIPAA requirements.
• Assist with clerical duties, data entry, filing, faxing, and other administrative tasks.
• Route clinical questions and medication concerns to the appropriate licensed healthcare professional.
• Follow company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Previous pharmacy experience is required.
• Experience working in a pharmacy, medical office, or healthcare setting preferred.

• Basic computer skills, data entry, and documentation experience.
• Ability to multitask and handle a high volume of calls.
• Knowledge of HIPPA and patient confidentiality.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
• Spanish speaker a must!

Preferred Experience:

• Pharmacy technician or pharmacy clerk experience.
• Experience communication with retail pharmacies and prescription department.
• Familiarity with prescription refill requests, medication prior authorizations, amd pharmacy follow-ups.
• Spanish speaker a must!
