The Role

RISE Patient Care Specialists engage in one-on-one interaction with patients from the time they enter the retail area until they check out and exit the store. Our ideal candidate should be friendly and upbeat, similar to a barista in a coffee shop. They are key to our success, connecting customers with the right products and consumption methods tailored to their needs. The Patient Care Specialist is knowledgeable about our menu and helps anyone who walks through the dispensary's doors. Responsibilities

• Assist patients in a retail environment, providing excellent customer service
• Use product knowledge to recommend safe and effective regimens suited to each patient
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and ensure the store's appearance is professional
• Stay updated with product information and industry developments
• Educate patients on products, methods of consumption, and safety
• Complete shift duties including:
  • Cash handling and discounts
  • Verifying paperwork, documentation, and IDs
  • Using and maintaining the POS system and updating patient profiles
  • Maintaining physical files as needed
  • Verifying order deliveries
  • Implementing security measures and ensuring safety compliance
  • Keeping a visitor log
• Support management to ensure smooth store operations and compliance with regulations
• Foster a positive, communicative, and patient-focused work environment

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in retail or specialty environments
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent customer service skills
• Experience with POS systems
• Willingness to learn about cannabis, cannabinoids, and related products; prior knowledge is a plus
• Strong listening and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficiency with standard office and computer software
• Understanding of applicable laws, safety regulations, and organizational policies

Additional Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older
• Pass background checks
• Possess valid driver's license or state ID
• Compliant with all industry regulations

Working Conditions

• Regularly perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions
• Lift, carry, and balance up to 30 pounds (or more with assistance); endure extended periods of sitting or standing; stoop, bend, or crouch as needed
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions if required for outdoor tasks
