Job summary

AMEDISYS HOME HEALTH is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to manage home visits for field staff under the Clinical Manager, ensuring optimal coordination of patient care and resource utilization. Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered nursing license applicable to the state of employment.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of administrative experience in a health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient assessments, Oasis visits, and other services in a timely manner.
• Prepare weekly clinician schedules and monitor capacity to meet productivity standards.
• Assign clinicians by geography to maximize efficiency and appropriate skill usage.
• Manage missed visits and coordinate with Clinical Manager for resolution.
• Communicate with patients, field staff, and referral sources to ensure timely services.
• Handle scheduling calls and document actions in the care center system.
• Assist with transfer of patients between care centers or hospice services.
• May provide direct patient care only in emergencies if licensed and needed.
