Job summary

ExperCARE Urgent Care Family Medicine in Jasper, AL is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to welcome patients and keep our clinic running smoothly. You will greet patients, copy prescriptions, prepare notes, and coordinate appointments with Lab and X-Ray staff.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, 0–2 years in medical terminology, strong communication and organization, and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Word. Experience in a fast-paced outpatient setting is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred
• 0-2 years of medical terminology experience (2-4 years preferred)
• Great communication skills and a friendly attitude
• Organized, accurate, and able to multitask

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and make them feel welcome
• Prepare and copy prescriptions, school, and work notes
• Schedule appointments and verify pre-certifications when needed
• Notify Lab/X-Ray staff when patients are ready
• Keep charts organized and labeled correctly
• Maintain patient privacy and follow HIPAA guidelines
• Support providers, nurses, and teammates whenever needed
