AEG is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to manage front desk operations, patient flow, and cross-team coordination in a fast-paced eye care environment. You will greet patients, handle inquiries, schedule and optimize provider calendars, and support seamless transitions across the care team.

The role emphasizes proactive communication, accurate data entry in EMR, insurance verification, and maintaining a positive patient experience while coordinating with clinical staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency with practice management systems (EMR).
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, patient-centered service.

• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and serve as primary contact for interactions.
• Answer calls, emails, and inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
• Schedule and optimize provider appointments; manage cancellations and reschedules.
• Confirm appointments and send reminders to reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and enter patient demographics in EMR.
• Explain coverage and patient financial responsibility clearly.
• Prepare patient charts and documentation before visits.
• Record charges and payments in EMR and monitor accounts.
