Job summary

Peoples Community Health Clinic is seeking a Patient Clinic Representative - Scheduler to handle appointment scheduling in person and by phone, document calls, and route requests to the proper departments. The role supports clinic operations and patient care within a non-exempt full-time schedule in Waterloo, IA.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, Nurse Aide I or Medical Assistant training, and at least 1 year of patient care or medical terminology experience.

Qualifications

• Basic skills including MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint) and Windows.
• Comfort with or ability to learn EHR systems.
• Strong communication, listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments in person and by phone.
• Documents calls and routes to appropriate department.
• Reviews and confirms completion of patient visits.
• Documents triage notes as needed.
• Supports a service-oriented atmosphere in line with clinic mission.
• Assists in improving work processes and clinical outcomes including quality improvement.
