Job summary

Shields Health is seeking a Patient Care Representative/Tech Aide to deliver exceptional service with accuracy and efficiency. You will greet patients, collect payments, assist with iPad check-in, coordinate language services, and ensure HIPAA/privacy compliance while supporting technologists and radiologists to maintain smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities include handling mail, preparing the next day’s schedule, verifying data in systems, and assisting in interview processes and scan-room

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; CPR certified.
• Excellent communication and computer skills required.

• Ability to interpret scheduling and HIPAA policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, collect copay/deductible/coinsurance and explain consent forms.
• Assist patients with iPad check-in and troubleshoot as needed.
• Recognize language service needs and coordinate accordingly.
• Distribute films/CDs while maintaining HIPAA and privacy policies.
• Collaborate with technologists/radiologists to manage patient flow.
• Process mail and deliveries; prepare next day’s appointment setup.
• Verify information in systems and respond to scheduling emergencies.
• Support machine utilization and maintain waitlist/hold list templates.
• Assist in patient interview processes and scan room preparation.
• Maintain co-pay/petty cash accuracy and make daily deposits.

Job Summary:The Patient Care Representative/Tech Aide will contribute to the goals of Shields Health Care Group byProviding exceptional customer service with professionalism, efficiency and accuracy.Job Description:What you will doGreet patients, collect necessary copay/deductible/co ins and explain the consent form to be completed.Assist patients with Ipad check in process, ability to trouble shoot and provide feedbackAbility to recognize and utilize when language services are neededDistribute films/CDs as required, while maintaining HIPAA and the Patient Privacy Policy.Work in collaboration with technologists/radiologists to ensure proper patient flow.Process outgoing and incoming US and inter-office mail and UPS deliveries.Prepare set up for next day’s appointment schedule and communicate any potential issuesProvide and respect confidentiality of all customer groups.Verify and enter necessary information into our systems.Respond appropriately to scheduling emergency patient situations.Support Customer Care with machine utilization by filling the template (Utilizing waitlist and hold list)Answer patient and doctor concerns with accuracy, efficiency and in a professional manner.Keep management informed of situations and conditions with potential impact on the company, particular department(s) or customer group.Remain current on any changes in policies or procedures that modify daily work functions.Assists In patient interview processAssists in preparing patient scan roomMaintain co pay/petty cash accuracy and make daily bank depositsPerforms other related duties as requiredRequired QualificationsWhat you need:High School Diploma required Must be CPR certifiedExcellent communication skills and computer proficiency requiredAttention to detail and typing accuracy requiredAbility to follow instructions with minimal supervisionProven ability to multi task and exceed customer expectations is requiredAbility to sit for extended periods of time while simultaneously performing data entry and information intake via phone. Can be met with or without reasonable accommodation.Preferred Qualifications:Medical office or healthcare administration courses preferredKnowledge of anatomy, medical terminology and insurance requirements is preferred.Additional Job Description:Pay range for this position is $17-29/hr + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.It is not intended that this Job Description include all details of the work functions of this position.
