Job summary

Shields Health is seeking a Patient Care Representative in Massachusetts to deliver exceptional patient service. The role includes greeting patients, collecting copayments, assisting with iPad check-in, and ensuring accurate data entry while upholding HIPAA rules.

You will work with radiology staff to maintain patient flow, manage mail and scheduling issues, and support new employee onboarding. A high school diploma and strong communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, collect copay/deductible/coinsurance and explain consent form.
• Assist patients with iPad check-in and troubleshoot issues.
• Recognize when language services are needed and assist accordingly.
• Distribute films/CDs while maintaining HIPAA and privacy policies.
• Collaborate with technologists/radiologists to ensure proper patient flow.
• Process outgoing and incoming mail and deliveries.
• Prepare setup for next day’s appointment schedule and flag issues.
• Verify and enter information into our systems.
• Respond to scheduling emergencies professionally and accurately.
• Maintain confidentiality of all customer groups.
• Stay updated on policy changes affecting daily work functions.

Job Summary:The Patient Care Representative will contribute to the goals of Shields Health Care Group by Providing exceptional customer service with professionalism, efficiency and accuracy. Per diem needed for e/o Sunday 6:30a-7pJob Description:What you will doGreet patients, collect necessary copay/deductible/co- insurance and explain the consent form to be completedAssist patients with Ipad check in process, ability to trouble shoot and provide feedbackAbility to recognize and utilize when language services are neededDistribute films/CDs as required, while maintaining HIPAA and the Patient Privacy Policy.Work in collaboration with technologists/radiologists to ensure proper patient flow.Process outgoing and incoming US and inter-office mail and UPS deliveries.Prepare set up for next day’s appointment schedule and communicate any potential issuesProvide and respect confidentiality of all customer groups.Verify and enter necessary information into our systems.Respond appropriately to scheduling emergency patient situations.Support Customer Care with machine utilization by filling the template (Utilizing waitlist, 1/1 and 7/4Answer patient and doctor concerns with accuracy, efficiency and in a professional manner.Keep management informed of situations and conditions with potential impact on the company, particular department(s) or customer group.Remain current on any changes in policies or procedures that modify daily work functions.Maintain co pay/petty cash accuracy and make daily bank depositsAssist with on-boarding and training of new employeesPerforms other related duties as requiredWork to maintain survey return rates in conjunction with company guidelines and goalsWorkflow in collaboration with multi-departments to ensure efficienciesRequired QualificationsWhat you need:High School Diploma requiredExcellent communication skills and computer proficiency requiredAttention to detail and typing accuracy requiredAbility to follow instructions with minimal supervisionProven ability to multi task and exceed customer expectations is requiredAbility to sit for extended periods of time while simultaneously performing data entry and information intake via phone.
