Job summary

CARSON VALLEY HEALTH seeks a dependable Receptionist/Patient Care Tech to greet patients, register, schedule, and coordinate clinic activities with professionalism. This per diem role adds a 15% uplift to the hourly rate and offers as-needed hours.

Responsibilities include front desk management, using the EHR to verify insurance, collecting copays, documenting care, and supporting telemedicine and basic patient care tasks in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of employment.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology, proper grammar, and spelling.
• Basic computer skills required; basic arithmetic.
• Basic office equipment knowledge and strong organizational skills.
• Medical experience preferred; bilingual abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors according to customer service standards.
• Register patients, schedule appointments, and manage files.
• Obtain insurance authorizations and assist with basic patient care activities and telemedicine.
• Utilize the EHR to check in patients, verify insurance, and collect copays.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure a clean reception/waiting area.
