Job summary

Carson Valley Health in Gardnerville, NV is seeking an OPBH Receptionist/Patient Care Technician - Per Diem to handle clerical tasks, greet patients, manage registrations, and coordinate clinic activities with staff.

The role requires strong customer service, basic medical knowledge, and EHR proficiency; prior medical office experience is preferred. Per diem status means variable hours with a 15% pay premium.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• Certificate of BLS (must obtain within 90 days).
• Knowledge of medical terminology, grammar and spelling.
• Basic computer, arithmetic and office equipment skills.
• Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Medical experience preferred; English reading/writing required.
• Ability to read/communicate in English; bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors per CVMC customer service standards.
• Register patients, schedule appointments, and manage files.
• Utilize EHR to verify insurance and collect copays.
• Answer phones professionally and coordinate with clinic staff.
