Responsibilities

• Assist in the care of patients under the Physician/Medical Provider.
• Greet patients, escort to room, and initiate registration process.
• Measure vital signs and record information in chart/EMR.
• Explain procedures and prepare patient rooms for examination.
• Assist physician with procedures and exam setup.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment; sterilize equipment; manage supplies.
• Perform diagnostic tests and CLIA-waived lab tests; collect and label specimens.
• Perform urine drug screens (DOT and Non-DOT) with proper chain of custody.
• Remove sutures/staples and change dressings.
• Support quality improvement and mandatory education/training.
