Job summary

UnitedHealth Group, in partnership with Northern Light Health, seeks a pre-registration associate in Brewer, ME to accurately collect and verify patient demographics and insurance information prior to service. You will interact with patients and providers to ensure smooth scheduling and financial clearance.

The requirements include a high school diploma, 6+ months in an office or call center, basic computer skills, and availability 8:30am–3:30pm EST Tue/Thu/Fri.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months of office, customer service, phone support, or call center experience.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent customer service when assisting patients, providers, and departments over the phone or in person.
• Collect and verify patient demographics and insurance information, updating records as needed.
• Engage other departments to assist with patient questions or needs.
• Explain benefits and collect copays or liabilities prior to service.
• Meet productivity and audit goals and uphold department policies.
• Escalate issues to ensure pre-registration and financial clearance before service date.
