Qualifications

• Holds or obtains valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Check vital signs, weigh and measure patients, collect specimens and record findings.
• Instruct patients on specimen collection and perform basic screening tests (dipstick, FOBT).
• Prepare collected specimens and required forms for transport.
• Perform vision/hearing tests and simple urinalysis.
• Administer basic first aid and BLS as needed.
• Prepare exam room and assist clinician during examinations.
