Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of phlebotomy and EKG training or equivalent programs.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Check vital signs, weigh and measure patients, and record findings.
• Instruct patients on specimen collection and perform basic specimen screening.
• Prepare specimens for lab testing and perform simple urine analysis.
• Assist with examinations and prepare examination room and supplies.
• Collect blood specimens via venipuncture or fingerstick.
• Operate ECG equipment to record heart activity.
