Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking a patient care assistant to support doctors and nursing staff by meeting basic patient needs, including daily activities, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with mobility.

The role includes post-mortem care, phlebotomy, EKGs, recording measurements, and reporting changes to the RN, with duties extending to equipment maintenance and other patient-care tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, dressing
• Obtains and records vital signs, weights, and heights
• Assists patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, discharges and ROM activities
• Performs post mortem care
• Performs EKG's, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring
• Observes and reports changes in patients' condition to the RN
• Maintains phlebotomy equipment and inventory
• Other related duties as assigned.
