Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking a patient care assistant to help doctors and nursing staff meet patients' basic needs in a hospital setting. You will assist with activities of daily living, take vitals, support mobility, and perform EKGs and phlebotomy while reporting changes to the RN.

Responsibilities include maintaining phlebotomy equipment and inventory, and performing related duties as assigned to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, dressing
• Obtains and records vital signs, weights, and heights
• Assists patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, discharges and ROM activities
• Performs post mortem care
• Performs EKG's, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring
• Observes and reports changes in patients' condition to the RN
• Maintains phlebotomy equipment and inventory
• Other related duties as assigned.
