Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team and provide essential nursing support and patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will assist physicians and accompanying staff, ensuring patient comfort, safety and timely care during visits.

Responsibilities include performing a range of patient care duties within a multidisciplinary team, with duties assigned by supervising physicians after competency is established. Typical hours are 7:30AM-5PM.

Qualifications

• 1 year healthcare experience as Medical Assistant.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
• Color vision screening may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assistance and patient care to ensure comfort, safety and personal needs.
• Assist physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in a medical office setting.
• Perform a variety of patient care duties within a multidisciplinary team as delegated by medical staff.
