Job summary

The Chicago Lighthouse is seeking a Medical Contact Center Agent in Chicago, IL for a full-time clerical role within a high-performance call center. You will handle inbound/outbound calls, voicemails, and emails from insurance plan members, scheduling patient appointments and providing accurate demographic data.

You will use Health System software, maintain HIPAA compliance, and participate in training to support Health System campaigns and outreach initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer Contact Center experience required.
• Ability to handle a call center environment, multi-tasking, and accurate data entry.
• Proven written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to navigate multiple databases within Health’s software application.
• Typing speed of at least 30 wpm with 95% accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inbound calls, voicemails, or emails promptly and professionally.
• Enter accurate demographic information into Health System applications.
• Schedule and register patients for appointments using Health System software.
• Communicate appointment details (date, time, location, provider) to patients.
• Conduct outbound calls to welcome members and schedule Health Risk Screenings.
• Follow triage protocols for red-flag calls and protect patient privacy under HIPAA.
