Job summary

Renown Health is seeking a Medical Assistant who will support providers in front and back office tasks. The role involves rooming patients, taking vital signs, and coordinating test results and referrals.

The position requires experience in multi-physician practices, Nevada licensure or eligibility for a related credential, and BLS certification. The candidate must adapt to floating between sites within the health system.

Qualifications

• Multi-physician office practice experience preferred.
• CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA, EMT 1 or externship with leadership approval preferred.
• Current State of Nevada license for Office Laboratory Assistant or Certified Laboratory Assistant; license must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Current AHA BLS or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment; certifications may be required per position.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to examination rooms and take vital signs per guidelines.
• Prepare lab specimens for processing and complete referral forms / authorizations.
• Schedule tests, manage communications, and maintain patient charts and records.
• Assist with cast/splints and other procedures as directed in certain departments.
