Job summary

Pearle Vision Brewster is seeking a friendly front-desk receptionist to greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, and verify insurance information. You will work closely with the optician and doctors to ensure a smooth, caring patient experience.

Ideal candidates have prior customer service or optical experience, strong communication skills, and are comfortable learning optical software. A positive attitude and reliability are required for a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service, receptionist, medical and/or optical experience preferred
• Comfortable answering phones and speaking with the public
• Professional and friendly communication skills
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn office/Optical software
• Ability to check and understand basic insurance information
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work a flexible schedule

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner
• Answer and direct incoming telephone calls
• Schedule and confirm patients appointments
• Check and verify insurance information and benefits
• Assist patients with questions regarding their appointments, insurance, and their services
• Handle general front-desk and administrative duties
• Must be good with computers (Computer Savy)
• Communicate professionally with patients both in person and over the phone
• Work closely with optician, doctors and other team members to provide excellent patient care
• Help maintain a clean, organized and welcoming reception area
• Provide exceptional customer service and create a positive experience for every patient
