Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Within first six months of employment, complete one of the following certifications: CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA.
• Basic Life Support (AHA) certification required.
• Strong computer skills.
• Completion of pre-employment competency exam.
• EMT-Basic or Emergency Medical Technician certification OR Illinois EMT license.

Responsibilities

• Assures efficient patient flow through the site and escorts patients to exam rooms.
• Obtain accurate vital signs and document visit details, allergies, and medication history.
• Assist MD/APP with procedures and prepare equipment for visits.
• Maintain clean, safe exam rooms and support discharge and referrals as needed.
• Respond to patient needs and protect confidentiality.
