Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking Patient Liaisons to support customer service and equipment delivery within hospital settings. You will educate patients on device use, verify insurance benefits, and communicate financial responsibilities, while promoting AdaptHealth products and services at care facilities.

The role emphasizes professional patient interactions, accurate delivery, and collaboration with hospital staff and referral sources to maximize patient satisfaction and revenue.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• One year of healthcare, administrative, insurance, or customer service experience.
• DME, Diabetes, Incontinence Sales experience preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license in the state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Be knowledgeable of AdaptHealth policies and procedures.
• Represent AdaptHealth professionally with patients, referral sources, and hospital staff.
• Maintain and increase revenue from hospital/facility orders.
• Develop knowledge of home equipment, insurance guidelines, eligibility, and reimbursement.
• Fulfill equipment orders and ensure equipment is clean, in working order, and paperwork is complete.
• Deliver/pick up supplies and equipment on time and accurately.
• Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use and answers to questions.
• Inform patients about rights, responsibilities, and billing contact; collect payments as needed.
• Initiate insurance verification and inform patients of financial responsibilities.
• Discuss insurance coverage and arrange payment with patients.
• Process credit/debit payments using electronic tools.
• Obtain signatures for paperwork including delivery tickets and care plans.
• Document delivery details and update changes as needed.
• Return dirty equipment for repair and tag for tracking.
• Troubleshoot and service equipment and decide switch-outs.
• Conduct sales/service rounds within hospitals to promote AdaptHealth products.
