Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to deliver world-class customer service and manage referrals for medical goods and services. You will verify patient information, coordinate with vendors and adjusters, and ensure referrals are medically necessary and billable.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a team environment within a busy healthcare setting in Washington, DC area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two (2) years of healthcare network and patient care scheduling experience required.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Reaches out to patients regarding new or processing referrals and confirms demographics and delivery status.
• Communicates with vendor partners, claims adjusters, and nurse case managers to provide updates on referrals.
• Procures vendor partners for each referral based on goods or services requested.
• Makes or takes calls on existing or new referrals and other team members’ referrals.
• Provides quotes to clients for approval and documents written approvals for referrals.
