Job summary

Renown Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers in back and front office duties across multiple sites within the health system. The role includes rooming patients, taking vitals, processing labs, coordinating referrals, and assisting with test scheduling.

Ideal candidates will have CMA/CCMA/RMA/NCMA/NRCMA or EMT1 credentials or externship experience, with working English proficiency and Nevada licensure in the appropriate category.

Qualifications

• Multi-physician office practice experience highly preferred.
• Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Certifications such as CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA/EMT 1 or externship are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients from the waiting room to the examination room promptly.
• Take vital signs as per guidelines and assist with rooming.
• Prepare lab specimens for processing and complete necessary referrals and authorizations.
• Schedule tests and manage patient communications for timely care.
• Assist in coordinating patient test results and reminders for overdue health maintenance topics.
• Support other care team members in delivering patient-centered care.
