Job summary

Renown-Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers in both front and back office duties and act as a direct liaison between patients and the care team. The role involves floating to various sites within the health system, coordinating test results and supporting patient education.

The successful candidate will work with a Medical Home care team, review medications, set goals, and ensure timely communication. Relevant certifications and Nevada licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking).
• Experience in multi-physician office practice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers in front and back office procedures.
• Serve as liaison between provider and patient and address questions.
• Float to multiple sites within the health system as needed.
• Track and coordinate patient test results and remind patients about overdue health maintenance.
• Assist in rooming patients, reviewing medications, setting goals and patient education.
• Assist with cast/splint/brace related duties in specified departments.
• Maintain exam rooms and document patient communications as per policy.
