Renown Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers in both front and back office duties across multiple sites. The role emphasizes direct liaison with patients, documentation, and coordinating tests and referrals.

Ideal candidates will have experience in multi-physician practices and hold CMA/CCMA/MA certifications or eligibility, with Nevada licensing requirements and BLS eligibility within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Must have working-level English language skills.
• Experience in multi-physician office practice preferred.
• CMA/CCMA/MA certification preferred or must be eligible.
• Nevada license for Office Laboratory Assistant or Certified Laboratory Assistant or apply within 90 days.
• Current AHA BLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Some positions may require DOT and Non-DOT drug testing certifications with 90-day window.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers in back and front office procedures and liaise between patient and provider.
• Float to various sites within the health system as needed and manage patient questions and documentation.
• Prepare lab specimens, complete referrals, obtain authorizations, and schedule tests.
• Maintain examination rooms and inventory; document patient communications and ensure chart accuracy.
• Provide patient education and assist with tracking overdue health maintenance topics.
