Vanguard Skin Specialists in Pueblo, CO is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to deliver an outstanding patient experience. You will manage calls, appointments, records, and communications across teams to optimize clinic flow and patient satisfaction.

The role requires an associate’s degree or equivalent, strong teamwork, and excellent verbal and written communication. You’ll join a busy dermatology practice committed to care, service and community impact, with full-time hours Mon-Fri.

Responsibilities

• Address patient questions and requests via phone, in person, and through the portal, including but not limited to record requests, referrals, prescription refills, etc.
• Understand patient needs and triage appointments so that patients are scheduled with the correct specialists
• Prepare patient electronic files prior to visit, e.g., insurance verification, prior authorization, etc.
• Prepare and send written and electronic patient communications
• Coordinate across teams to help address patient requests and concerns
• Optimize medical providers’ schedules to make sure their time is efficiently devoted to patient care
• Ensure patients at risk of skin cancer schedule appropriate follow up appointments
• Greet patients and handle patient check in/out for appointments
• Provide patients with exceptional service, as measured by patient satisfaction surveys and reviews
• Assist with open houses and events

Schedule:

• This is a full-time position with business hours Monday to Friday.
• This position is based in Colorado Springs and includes working from multiple locations such as Briargate, Northgate, Broadmoor, and Central.

Reviews:

Vanguard Skin Specialists believes in providing regular feedback and encouraging professional development. Your first check in with HR will be approximately 90 days from your date of hire. Written annual reviews take place each fall. For individuals with <6 months of tenure by fall review but >6 months tenure at spring review, then the initial review will take place in the spring review. The practice promotes from within which provides opportunity for growth and advancement.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Compensation is $20-23 per hour with eligibility for overtime.
• The practice covers a portion of the premium for medical benefits and offers vision, dental, and 401K.
• The position also comes with paid time off, continuing education stipend, bereavement pay, paid maternity & bonding leave, and employee discounts on products and aesthetic services.

Physical Working Conditions:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% The other 10% occasionally move about inside the office to access filing cabinets, office printers, etc.
• Operate a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, printer, copier, scanner, or fax
• Be able to communicate accurately, effectively, and frequently
• Ability to operate in a demanding work environment with a fast-paced and high-pressure setting
• Can identify color on the computer and software used
