Highbar Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join the clinical team. You will greet patients, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, relay insurance details, and provide authorization information to patients. You will also support administrative duties to help therapists and maintain patient records.

The role emphasizes patient experience, accurate billing, and a strong understanding of insurance basics as part of daily clinic operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two to three years of related experience and/or training.
• Associate degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct patients, vendors, and visitors of the clinic.
• Schedules appointments and manages calendars.
• Collect co-pays and document payments on receipts.
• Relay insurance benefit information and provide authorization details to patients.
• Perform tasks to relieve clinical staff of administrative duties.
• Assist therapists with faxing patient information to medical offices.
• Explain benefit details, including deductibles and copays, to patients.
• Monitor schedules and fill openings through the medical records system.
• Review essential reporting to ensure timely task completion.
