Job summary

OrthoArizona is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our team in Scottsdale, AZ. You will prepare patients for examination, collect vitals, and document history, while ensuring accurate EMR entries and smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities include room preparation, assisting providers, scheduling tests, handling referrals, and maintaining inventory. The ideal candidate has knowledge of medical terminology, equipment, and safety procedures to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
  • Familiarity with equipment and instruments necessary to deliver patient care.
  • Knowledge of handling blood products and disposing of contaminated items.
  • Knowledge of universal precautions.
  • Ability to take vital signs and record results.
  • Understand/Perform training on electronic medical record software.
  • Continue to expand knowledge of electronic medical record software as updates occur.

  • Assist providers in preparing for minor office procedures.
  • Assist with scheduling of tests and treatment.
  • Obtain prior authorization as needed for referral orders and document the authorization status in medical record.
  • Closely monitor voicemail and phone calls, screening for providers.
  • Maintain inventory and stocks exam room.
  • Assist in the care and maintenance of equipment and examination room.
  • All other duties assigned.
