Job summary

Blanchard-Valley-Health-System is seeking a food service associate to assist the First Cook in preparing meals for patients, cafeteria, and catered events, following Sodexo standards and recipes.

You will handle cooking tasks, maintain cleanliness, follow HACCP guidelines, and participate in safety trainings and meetings. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team are essential to ensure quality service across departments.

Qualifications

• One year of food cooking service experience is required.
• Knowledge of proper use/operation of kitchen equipment.
• Positive, service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare products to high quality for patient service, cafeteria, and events.
• Follow recipes and guidelines; measure and follow directions.
• Clean and sanitize workstation per Sodexo and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate production records and historical data.
• Review production sheets and catering menus to plan workload.
• Attend safety trainings and follow safety practices daily.
• Attend monthly meetings and document inservices and competencies.
• Communicate job function changes to coworkers; document processes.
• Assist in problem resolution and support department improvements.
