Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Plano, TX, is seeking a Clinical Staff Assistant I to support outpatient front office operations with patients both by phone and in person. Under supervision, you will help with registration, scheduling, insurance entries, and other duties while delivering compassionate, patient-centered service.

You'll learn Epic EMR system usage, maintain HIPAA compliance, and collaborate with team members to ensure smooth clinic flow.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED with prior customer service experience required
• Licenses and Certifications: Successful completion of CSA competencies in two (2) clinical front office operations within 6-12 months of hire
• Degree in related field preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Learn and demonstrate proficiency in at least two clinical front office operations within 6-12 months
• Maintain knowledge of Epic EMR system user operations and clinical workflows
• Deliver superior customer service and maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA)
• Duties may include direct interaction with patients and handling patient records
