Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a patient care assistant to support registered nurses in a busy clinical unit. You will assist with daily patient care activities, including bathing, feeding and mobility, and help with admission, transfer and discharge tasks under RN supervision.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Experience with EMR systems and basic nursing procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, and mobility.
• Support admission, transfer and discharge processes under RN supervision.
• Perform purposeful rounding and communicate observations to RN.
• Assist with nutrition tasks and skin care; handle supplies and equipment.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as needed.Maintain infection prevention practices and EMR documentation.
