Responsibilities include scheduling, handling patient communications, processing payments, maintaining exam rooms, and ensuring infection control per HIPAA and CDC guidelines. Prior experience in a clinical setting and CPR/BLS are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required prior to start date.
• 1 year of experience in a clinical environment and 1 year in admin/patient-facing roles required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and provide safe, compassionate care in accordance with guidelines.
• Perform patient care activities according to standards of practice.
• Room clinic patients in person or virtually and update patient charts.
• Communicate pertinent patient data to providers and nurses to support quality and continuity of care.
• Greet patients, assist with scheduling, manage calls, and process payments.
• Ensure efficient turnover of exam rooms.
• Assist providers in exam rooms as requested.
• Collect, prepare, and submit ordered patient lab specimens.
• Assist the Patient Services team with prior authorizations and documentation.
• Triage patient phone calls and messages and document them appropriately.
• Order and manage supplies under the manager’s direction.
• Disinfect and stock exam rooms.
• Obtain records required for patient charts.
• Report patient issues throughout the treatment day.
• Follow company policies and CDC infection-control guidelines.
• Handle and store hazardous materials properly.
• Maintain confidentiality of records and HIPAA adherence.
• Communicate schedule changes and assist with patient rescheduling.
• Manage incoming mail and deliveries.
• Work independently on administrative functions and intake medical deliveries when no patients are scheduled.
• Collaborate with the clinical team and report to the Clinical Operations Manager.
