Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient flow, perform phlebotomy, vital signs, vaccinations, and routine procedures in a clinical setting. You will educate patients, assist physicians, manage appointments, and maintain rooms and supplies.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is proficiency with EMR systems such as Meditech, Lotus Notes and I-heal. BLS and CMA credentials are preferred, with a Monday–Friday schedule and occasional weekend/holiday

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• CMA certification preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong clinical judgement and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work as part of a team and handle emergencies.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and related software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient flow efficiency and assist with exams.
• Phlebotomy, vital signs, vaccinations, tests and screenings.
• Provide patient education and counseling; coordinate referrals.
• Maintain patient rooms and stock supplies; process orders.
• Greet patients and escort to exam rooms.
• Assist with procedures and wound care; act as chaperone.
• Handle administrative duties: scheduling, calls, charts, referrals.
• Coordinate room rotations and front desk cross-training.
• Manage emails and use EMR systems (Meditech, i-heal, Lotus Notes).
• Prepare and document test results and follow-ups; ensure safety procedures.
