Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers. Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Greet, check-in, scheduling and medical assisting to support smooth practice operations.
• Perform medical assisting duties including vitals, phlebotomy and assisting during routine procedures.
• Monitor and maintain equipment, prepare patient charts and documents for clinical activities.
• Queue prescriptions, enter orders in the EMR and ensure proper billing documentation.
• Schedule diagnostic and lab tests, verify insurance and prior authorizations as needed.
• Assist with patient flow, waiting room management and liaise between patients and staff.
• Record appointment status and communicate delays to patients and providers.
