Job summary

• Medical Terminology course within six months of position.
• Two years of directly related experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in locating departments; schedule and coordinate patient appointments.
• Verify coverage eligibility for prior authorization.
• Abstract chart information and assign CPT, ICD, and HCPCS codes for preauthorization.
• Coordinate with insurance company for financial coverage and prior authorizations.
• Refer self-pay patients to financial assistance; arrange financial assistance appointments.
• Track and investigate denials and coordinate appeals.
