Job summary

Heritage Valley Beaver is seeking a Full-Time Patient Care Associate for the Emergency Department. The role features a $3,000 sign-on/retention bonus and 40 hours per week with daylight or night shifts, including alternating weekends and holidays.

You will support patients with daily living activities and essential care under nursing supervision. Requirements include a high school diploma, completion of a nursing assistant program (or nursing student after first quarter), excellent bedside

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of nursing assistant program or nursing student after first quarter/semester.
• Excellent bedside manner and customer service; BCLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care appropriate to age and needs under a nurse's direction.
• Assist with daily living activities: dressing, bathing, feeding, toileting.
• Take vitals, assist with ambulation, turning, and patient safety.
• May perform 12-lead EKG, set up respiratory equipment, and venipuncture.
• Transcribe orders as directed.
