Job summary

Heritage Valley Health System is seeking a Full-Time Patient Care Associate in Beaver, PA. The role provides essential patient care services for psychiatric patients under the direction of a registered nurse. Shifts are primarily at night from 11 PM to 7 AM, including rotating weekends and holidays. Candidates must be high school graduates with excellent bedside manner and customer service skills, as well as BCLS certification. A sign-on bonus of $3,000 is offered for joining the Psychiatric Unit.

• Bonus Eligible* Department: Psychiatric Unit
• Work Hours: 40 hours per week; primarily night shift 11p-7a; rotating weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Provides basic patient care for psychiatric patients appropriate to the age, culture, and developmental needs of the patient and under the direction of a registered nurse. Provides assistance with daily living tasks as appropriate.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Excellent bedside manner and customer service skills
• BCLS
• Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

Preferred

• Previous nursing assistant experience on a medical/surgical or psychiatric unit.
• Computer skills.
• Certified nurse assistant.
