Job summary

Bristol Hospital Group is hiring for a full-time position at BHI Bristol Hospital Main Campus in Bristol, CT. Candidates will assist in patient-centered care and should be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) with a high school diploma or equivalent.

The role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to develop care plans and mentoring new team members while adhering to clinical protocols. Experience as a CNA, PCA, or in a similar role is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certificate or at least one year of experience as PCA, Ed Tech, or CNA in acute or long-term care.
• Alternatively, 3rd year BSN student with two completed clinical rotations.
• Alternatively, Medical Assistant or EMT.

Schedule: 36 Hrs /Days/7a-7:30p/Every Other Weekend

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient-centered care, performing various tasks under a Patient Focused Care model.
• Follow standardized procedures in clinical pathways, including direct care, diagnostic testing, patient transport, documentation, and other duties as directed by RN.
• Orient and mentor new team members, ensuring compliance with universal precautions and PPE use.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop and carry out patient-centered care plans.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – active CPR certificate required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Active CNA certificate or at least one year experience as PCA, Ed Tech, or CNA in acute or long-term care.
• Good communication skills.
• Alternatively, 3rd year BSN student with two completed clinical rotations.
• Alternatively, Medical Assistant or EMT.
• Must be willing to be floated or reassigned to another department, unit, office, or location as needed.
