Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist in individualized patient care under the supervision of an RN or LPN. You will perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical tasks essential to patient care, while collaborating with a team to reach common health goals.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, CNA/CPCT or enrollment in a healthcare program, or current Mercy employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; CNA/CPCT or in a healthcare program, or current Mercy coworker.
• No prior experience required; Mercy provides 175-hour training to meet state requirements.
• BLS certification due within 1 month of hire; PCT competencies within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist in individualized patient care under the direction of an RN or LPN.
• Perform designated clinical procedures and essential non-clinical tasks.
• Work cooperatively as part of a team to support patient wellness.
