Job summary

Mercy is hiring a Patient Care Technician to assist in individualized patient care under the supervision of an RN or LPN. You will perform designated clinical procedures and a range of supportive tasks essential to patient wellness.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety standards, and a commitment to learning; Mercy will provide a 175-hour training program and requires BLS within one month of hire, with competency completion within 3 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; CNA/CPCT or enrolled in healthcare program, or current Mercy coworker.
• BLS certification within 1 month of hire; complete PCT competencies within 3 months.
• No prior experience required.
• Physical ability to push, pull, and lift 50 pounds; prolonged standing and walking; flexibility to bend, kneel, twist, and squat.
