UF Health is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PRN) to support registered nurses by performing routine procedures under supervision. The ideal candidate holds CNA certification (or EMT/Paramedic) with patient care experience, or is a nursing student in an approved program, and may be awaiting NCLEX authorization.

This role emphasizes patient advocacy, teamwork, and adherence to nursing standards in a trusted clinical environment in Gainesville, Florida.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required for those not currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a nursing program.
• One year of patient care experience in a clinical setting preferred; or nursing student in approved program.
• Current employees awaiting NCLEX authorization to test (up to 90 days post-graduation) or who have not passed NCLEX (up to 6 months post initial authorization) acceptable.

Responsabilités

• Functions as an assistant to the Registered Nurse performing routine procedures under supervision.
• Provide nursing support to achieve patient care goals and advocacy in collaboration with nursing staff.
