Job summary

McLaren Health Care Corporation in Michigan seeks a part-time Nurse Assistant to support cardiology patient care. You will work under the supervision of a nurse, perform delegated patient care activities, and maintain a safe, clean environment to promote patient well-being.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, providing compassionate support to patients and families, ensuring HIPAA and OSHA compliance, and adhering to infection-control policies.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of a Nurse Assistant Certification program or equivalent
• Minimum of six (6) months of recent experience as a Nurse Assistant in an acute care setting
• Completion of phlebotomy course or equivalent experience

• Performs specific patient care interventions as delegated by the RN in effort to identify/attain treatment goals.
• Delivers compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
• Provides physical support for patients with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, feeding, dressing, getting out of bed, using the toilet, walking, standing or exercising.
• Ensures compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment and protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control, hazardous waste and other policies and protocols.
• Performs other related job duties as requested.

Position Summary:
Under the direct supervision of a Nurse, contributes to the delivery of patient-centered care through: Performance of selected day-to-day patient care activities. Maintenance of an environment that is functionally and aesthetically conducive to patient well-being. Demonstrates unit/area-designated competencies. Interacts with patients considering their developmental, age-specific, and cultural spiritual preferences.
