Job summary

Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, Inc. in Massachusetts is seeking a Patient Care Assistant II to support unit operations on the 7 North pod.

The role focuses on secretarial and clerical duties within the Patient Care Team, coordinating admissions, discharges, tests, and documentation under the supervision of the Nursing Director. You will answer calls, manage medical records, schedule tests, and assist with patient transport and family education, delivering high-quality, CARE-standard care

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• CNA/PCT certification is required and HeartSaver CPR AED is required.

Responsibilities

• Answers patient call lights and communicates patient request to appropriate clinical staff.
• Maintains all patient medical records per hospital policies and procedures in a neat and orderly manner.
• Schedules patient diagnostic tests, appointments, and consults upon the direction of physician or RN.
• Coordinates logistics of patient discharge including transportation, equipment, etc.
• Performs clerical duties to admit, transfer, and discharge patients with the use of bed management system.
