Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant II to join the patient care team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role includes blood glucose monitoring, EKGs, and providing essential bedside support to patients and families.

The PCA II will respond to emergencies using Heartsaver CPR and AED, ensure a safe environment, and help maintain efficient unit operations while upholding the center-of-care model and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Assist RN with clinical tasks including glucose monitoring and EKGs.
• Respond to medical emergencies using CPR and AED.
• Support patient and family needs and ensure unit efficiency.
• Uphold patient and family centered care model.

Responsabilités

• Anticipates and identifies patient safety risks and assists with mitigating them.
• Performs routine patient room rounds and monitors patient condition.
• Maintains infection control and safety procedures.
• Communicates with RN to coordinate care and coverage.
